Through the LBPSB’s Family and School Support and Treatment Team (FSSTT), Beurling Academy brings career mentors from the local community and high school boys together over lunch hour to chat about real-life careers. Students earn their pizza lunch by showing that they have taken notes from conversations with at least three mentors.

·Student Volunteers Pay it Forward
“Pay it forward” initiatives at Howard S. Billings High School gave two Secondary V classes a volunteer experience they won’t soon forget. One class used an Entrepreneurship Day theme to mentor grade 6 students and introduce them to their future high school. The other class donated a day of their time to an elementary school.

Two sets of Western Québec students rallied around separate social entrepreneurship ventures, as they test piloted The Learning Partnership’s “Entrepreneurial Adventure” program.
